Yardlong Bean (Asparagus Bean, Snake Bean, Chinese Long Bean) 100 Seeds

Yardlong Bean (Asparagus Bean, Snake Bean, Chinese Long Bean) 100 Seeds
Yardlong Bean, also called Chinese Long Bean, is a vigorous climbing annual and the plant begins to produce long pods, ranging from 14 to 30 inches, 60 days after sowing. The pods hang in pairs that should be picked for vegetable uses before matured. Yardlong Bean is a subtropical/tropical plant and is widely grown in Southeastern Asia, Thailand and Southern China
. It is a very interesting plant to grow - you almost need to check/harvest long beans everyday because they grow very quick in warm climates. It is, however, sensitive to the temperature and grows relatively slow in mild/cold environments. Like to grow common beans, it is recommended to rotate the planting locations every year for getting the best results - do not repeat planting at the same spots within 3-4 years. Edible pods are very crisp, tender and delicious.
Long beans are cut into shorter sections and cooked like common green beans. There are many varieties grown in the Orient and they are generally identified by the color of the matured seeds.
Yard long beans are sometimes called Asparagus beans or Chinese Long beans. This fast growing, high yielding variety thrives in the heat. It is a black seeded variety and is one of the most popular varieties grown. These extra long dark green stringless beans are highly prized because of their sweet and crunchy pods. Approx. 100 seeds in packet. Maturity: Approx. 75 days Planting season: Late spring to summer
This is an exceptional red variety of asparagus bean. Edible pods are dark green when cooked, tender and delicious. Young pod has thick meat with crisp texture and very small seed cavity, excellent for cooking uses. The plant grows vigorously and produces lots of long beans for a long time. Easy to grow. An excellent variety for home gardens and fresh markets. Untreated seed.

55 days. This is the bush bean by which all others are judged, a classic favorite for many years among gardeners across the U.S. 75 Seeds.
The pods are dark green and about 5 1/2 inches long, very plump with tender white seeds, and fairly straight. They arise on space-saving 16-inch plants, and are flavorful and tender.
Easy and trouble-free, even for the new gardener, this snap bean is widely adapted across the U.S., and is compact in the garden. For best harvest, succession-plant every 3 weeks or so from early spring till late summer
Hardier than pole beans, bush snaps can be direct-sown after all danger of frost.
